Getting Started There are basically three things you need to start your website: A Plan - this doesn't have to be fancy, but you need to have an idea of what your site is going to be about, how often you plan to update, and what kinds of things you plan to put on your site. Some tools - chances are, you aren't a whiz at making web pages (but maybe you are). Either way, you're going to need some tools to make your website. Tools in this case are things like your computer, some programs for creating pages and maybe pictures, and anything else you'll need for your plan. A Server - once you've built the pages from your plan, you have to put them on the web somewhere so other people can see them. The computer that you put them on is called a server.
