Chronic pain for life
Hello. My name is Jennifer and I am proud of finally creating this site to help myself in saving my dream. I will start about telling you about me so you are more comfortable. I am a single mother (31y/o) of a beautiful, helpful, inspiring six year old daughter. I was a legal assistant for several years until I was forced to quit my job due to a severe pain condition which I will explain shortly. I made one of my dreams come true through hard work and sacrifice when I purchased my first home for us. A HUD house that needs several renovations. My hobby with my mother is to renovate homes and construction. It has been a passion of mine to turn something from nothing and make it new again. Preservation. I bought this house for the same direction and dreams to make it the best place for my daughter. That dream was shattered when I found out that my health would come in the way and take a major turn. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Sympathetic Pain Syndrome. All in which cause me to be in severe pain daily. I lost my job in downtown Cleveland, Ohio since they would not honor my doctor’s instruction to adjust my work duties due to the disability. They stated either quit or be fired. Since I didn't want a firing to be in my work history, I quit. Since then, I recently underwent, hopefully the last surgery at the Cleveland Clinic for the implantation of a Spinal Cord Stimulator due to nerve damage in my back which prevented me from walking most of the days for the last 2 1/2 years. This was put in to help me walk. I still suffer from the Chronic Pain Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. The Fibro restricts the movement in muscles all over the body with pain and stiffness. So far it is somewhat under control. Stress is the leading factor in my situation that increases the pain on a daily basis. My dream is to help relieve some of the pain caused by these diseases. I need help in areas of donations to maintain household expenses and renovations. I wish to offer insight, support and advice to anyone in this or a similar situation as well. I have gone to several places and just to mention a few like the County, State, Federal, Salvation Army and United Way who all stated they don't have the resources to help or just simply state they will not help me with any explanation. There needs to be more resources for individuals in need and hope to be able to help someone myself. Any donation would be helpful as I was always able to help myself and now can't.
